§ Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what was the arbitration award given recently to the employees of the Malta Government and the three Services; and if it is to apply also to the other workers in the dockyard who have hitherto participated in such awards as Admiralty employees.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe Arbitration Tribunal awarded an increase of 15 per cent. on the basic minimum wage of the industrial employees of the Government and Service Departments in Malta.
As regards the second part of the Question, workers directly employed by Messrs. Bailey (Malta) Ltd. are not covered by the award.
