§ 45. Mr. Mathewasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government will take the 68W initiative in arranging consultations, in accordance with the procedure approved by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in 1954, between the European States which are members of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, in order to ensure that the Western European members of this Committee shall speak with as united a voice as the representatives of the Soviet bloc.
§ Mr. R. AllanAction on these lines has already been taken for it has been agreed that the six member states of the Council of Europe who are also members of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space should discuss this subject with the remaining member states of the Council.
