§ 65. Mr. P. Browneasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he will give consideration to the possibility of introducing a differential rate in the basic pension in order to give help to those who need it most.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThe giving of help to those who need it most is primarily a function of National Assistance, but if my hon. Friend cares to let me know in detail what he has in mind in respect of National Insurance I shall be happy to go into it with him.
