Mr. MacleodThe extension of existing legislation to protect birds in the Pitcairn Islands group is being considered by the Governor and advice on controlled exploitation and conservation has been taken. There seems no reason to suspect that bird life on the outlying islands of Oeno and Henderson, which are only occasionally visited, is in greater jeopardy than in Pitcairn itself where the statutory closed seasons are observed.
