I understand that the river board awaits the results of tests now being carried out on the model of the River Trent constructed at the Government's Hydraulic Research Station. These tests are being made in order to observe the effect that certain proposals for the improvement of the river might have upon the operation of the existing electricity generating station and on the siting of future corporation sewage works.
