§ Mr. MarplesThe British Transport Commission estimates that it should achieve, by about the end of 1963, a working surplus which can resonably be put at between £50 million and £100 million. This assessment is contained in the Commission's Reappraisal of its Modernisation Plan (Cmnd. 813) which is at present under study by the Government.
