HC Deb 21 December 1960 vol 632 cc156-7W
Dr. Bennett

asked the Minister of Transport how many accidents to vehicles or pedestrians have occurred on A.27 between the Portsmouth boundary and the Hamble River since he last quoted figures on this road in reply to a Parliamentary Question last Session; and how many deaths, how many injuries, and how many damaged vehicles have resulted from these accidents.

Mr. Marples

In the period 24th July to 19th December this year, there have been 114 accidents which caused damage only and 64 accidents in which persons were injured—2 persons killed, 21 seriously injured and 49 slightly injured—on the A.27 between the Portsmouth boundary and the Hamble River. I regret that I have no information about the number of vehicles damaged.
