§ 46. Mr. Longdenasked the Prime Minister when he intends to invite the representatives of employers and trades unions to consider afresh with Her Majesty's Government the human and industrial problems that the next five years will bring.
§ The Prime MinisterWe are already taking action to consider these problems with representatives of employers and trade unions. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour is discussing a number of them with representatives of the British Employers' Confederation, the Trades Union Congress and the nationalised industries on his National Joint Advisory Council. In addition, at his suggestion, representatives of the British Employers' Confederation and the Trades Union Congress are having informal discussions on the problem of strikes.
