§ Mr. BarberAccording to information at present available it is estimated that investment by United Kingdom firms in the Common Market countries amounted to £20 million in 1957, £35 million in 1958, £55 million in 1959 and about £25 million in the first half of 1960.

§ Mr. BarberAccording to information at present available it is estimated that private investment by Common Market countries in the United Kingdom amounted to £5 million in 1957, £55 million in 1958, £5 million in 1959, and about the same annual rate as in 1959 during the first half of 1960. The inflow in 1958 was nearly all due to one exceptional transaction.
