§ 83. Mr. Prenticeasked the Minister of Labour whether he will make a statement on the consultations he is having in relation to the payment of wages by cheque under the Payment of Wages Act, 1960; whether the National Union of Bank Employees has been included in these consultations; and when the Order giving effect to the relevant part of the Act is to be made.
§ Mr. HareI am not having consultations on this subject. I propose to wait until we have had experience of the working of the provisions in the Payment of Wages Act which came into operation at the beginning of this month before doing so.
