§ Mr. Wiseasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether he will make a further statement on the United Kingdom's gift to Nigeria to commemorate independence.
§ Mr. SandysThe gift is now ready for despatch. As my right hon. Friend the Minister of State said on 28th July, it consists of table silver which could be used on formal State occasions. Arrangements have been made for the gift to be on display in the Upper Waiting Hall from today until Friday, 16th December. I will arrange for photographs of this gift to be placed in the Library in due course.
