§ Mr. Watkinsasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the incidence of a chest condition known as Farmers' Lung; what steps are being taken for its prevention; and whether he is satisfied that sufficient information is available in hilly districts to enable sufferers to obtain early treatment.
§ Mr. PowellFarmers' Lung is not a disease, but a condition occurring in farm workers and others. Treatment depends on the finding in each case. I am advised that adequate facilities for diagnosis and treatment are available under the National Health Service.
