§ 80. Mr. Shinwellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what action he intends to take on the representations made to him in the petition by residents in the new town of Peterlee on the proposed increase in rents.
§ Mr. BrookeDecisions on rents in any new town are a matter for the development corporation. The decision of the Peterlee Corporation to make small increases was taken, I know, after careful review of all the relevant circumstances. That being so, it is not for me to intervene.
