§ 67. Mr. A. Lewisasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that, notwithstanding the fact that the Federal Government of Germany does not officially recognise the German Democratic Republic, nevertheless they have for many years had official trade agreements with that Government, and that negotiations are now proceeding for a new official trade agreement between the two countries; and whether, in view of this, he will invite the same officials who are representing the German Democratic Republic in the current trade negotiations with the Federal Government of Germany to visit this country to discuss with his officials the signing of a similar trade agreement with Great Britain.
