§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the names and the artists of those pictures in the Lane bequest of 39 pictures which will be included in the first consignment soon to be sent to Dublin; and what arrangements are being made for their safe custody in transit.
§ Sir E. BoyleParticulars of the pictures to be included in the first consignment are given in the agreement dated 6th November, 1959, between the National Gallery Trustees and the Commissioners of Public Works in Dublin, a copy of which was placed in the Library. Arrangements for the safe custody of the pictures in transit will be the responsibility of the National Gallery Trustees.
