§ Mr. MaudlingThe Interim Report, which is on the general issue of the safety of consumer goods, was published as a Command Paper yesterday. I am grateful to the Committee for completing so promptly this comprehensive examination of this aspect of its inquiry.
The Committee's recommendations will, of course, have to be studied in consultation with the interests affected and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department and I are arranging for this to be put in hand.
