§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe rate of recurrent expenditure in 1959 on each child receiving primary education in Seychelles was £5 17s., taking no account of overhead administrative costs. This figure is low in comparision with other British Colonial Territories. Plans for raising the standard of education in Seychelles will be found in paragraphs 145 to 187 of "A Plan for Seychelles", copies of which are in the Library of the House.
