HC Deb 14 April 1960 vol 621 c176W
Sir E. Errington

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to state the means by which subsequent compensation payments from the United Arab Republic will be transmitted to claimants, in view of the dissolution of the Anglo-Egyptian Resettlement Board.

Mr. Profumo

The closing down of the Anglo-Egyptian Resettlement Board does not affect the distribution of the Compensation Fund paid to Her Majesty's Government by the Government of the United Arab Republic under the Financial Agreement of 28th February, 1959. Payments out of that Fund have hitherto been made, and will continue to be made, by the Foreign Compensation Commission, as and when the claims submitted to that body are assessed.
