§ 60. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Transport whether he will publish the percentage of all recorded accidents, attributed to each of the main causes, such as the influence of drink; and which classification accounted for the highest number of accidents.
§ Mr. MarplesIt is not practicable to classify accidents generally as envisaged by my hon. Friend; the main cause of an accident is often uncertain. Published analyses show the factors which are reported by the police as occurring most frequently in fatal and serious accidents.
