asked the Prime Minister if he will set up a committee to investigate the possibility of combining the functions of the Colonial Office and the Commonwealth Relations Office in a single Department of State.

The distribution of functions within the Government is a matter which I keep under constant review; but I doubt whether it would be helpful to set up a committee of this nature at the present time.
