§ 43. Mr. McMasterasked the Minister of Aviation what proposals he has for testing either of the vertical take-off jet engines being developed by Rolls Royce in collaboration with M.A.N. of Germany and by Bristol Siddeley Engines Ltd. in the Short SC1 vertical take-off plane.
§ Mr. SandysI shall naturally keep in mind the possibility of improving the performance of this aircraft by installing more advanced engines, but there is still much to be learnt from it in its present form.
