HC Deb 11 April 1960 vol 621 c102W
101. Mr. Deedes

asked the Minister of Education, as representing the Minister for Science, what inquiries have been made by him into complaints from the East Kent area of a high-pitched hum, associated with equipment for which he is responsible, audible and aggravating to those with acute hearing, about which the hon. Member for Ashford sent a full account to the Minister for Science last December.

Sir D. Eccles

I understand that my noble Friend has written to my hon. Friend about this matter. Considerable inquiries have failed to confirm the existence of the noise and my noble Friend does not accept that any equipment for which he is responsible is the cause of any such noise.
