§ Mr. Walker-SmithNo particular increase in expenditure will fall on these bodies in meeting the provisions of the Mental Health Act. I assume that the hon. Member has in mind the development of the local health authority services under the National Health Service Act for care in the community. Consultations with the local authority associations took place on this before the amount of the general grant was fixed for the first period.
