HC Deb 11 April 1960 vol 621 c79W
Mr. Nabarro

asked the Minister of Power whether he will state comparative figures for 1959, and 1954, in respect of deaths and injuries caused by coal gas poisoning in premises of all types, excluding mines.

Mr. George

The Gas Council estimates that there were 774 accidental deaths from coal gas poisoning in 1954 in Great Britain and (provisionally) 958 in 1959. I have no information about injuries.
