HC Deb 05 April 1960 vol 621 c38W
72. Sir T. Moore

asked the Secretary State for Foreign Affairs if it is now known how many Scots of both sexes perished or were injured in the Agadir earthquake; and if he will give particulars.

Mr. R. Allan

The numbers are not known with absolute certainty, but we know that one Scotsman and one Scotswoman, Commander and Mrs. J. A. Paul, were killed. One Scotswoman, Mrs. H. J. Dunsmuir, who has been missing since the earthquake, is feared to have perished.

One Scotsman, Mr. Dunsmuir, escaped with minor injuries.
