HC Deb 04 April 1960 vol 621 c13W
Dr. A. Thompson

asked the Minister of Health if he will consult with the British Transport Commission with a view to ensuring that first and second class non-smoking compartments are available at all times and on all trains in order to safeguard the health of passengers suffering from chest complaints.

Mr. Walker-Smith

This, like the heating of compartments, is a matter of day-to-day railway administration, but again I am sure that the British Transport Commission will take due note of what the hon. Member has said.
