HC Deb 04 April 1960 vol 621 c10W
75. Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Health to what extent he has considered the organisation of an appointments system by a general practitioner within the National Health Service which would merit distinction and thus be considered in relation to any re-arrangement of the distribution of the central pool.

Mr. Walker-Smith

I am aware that an increasing number of doctors have an appointments system, which, where practicable, has obvious advantages. It would not be appropriate for me to comment at the moment on the distribution of the central pool.
