96. Mr. Malcolm MacPherson

asked the Minister of State for Commonwealth Relations, why no representative of Nyasaland attended the recent Commonwealth Education Conference.

The delegation from the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland to the Commonwealth Education Conference represented the interests of the Federation as a whole. The Nyasaland Government did not consider it necessary to attach a special representative to the delegation, but provided briefs for it on matters of particular interest to Nyasaland.
