HC Deb 24 November 1959 vol 614 c17W
46. Mr. John Hall

asked the Prime Minister whether he has yet given further thought to the question of appointing a committee of independent persons of high standing to review regularly the remuneration of Ministers of the Crown, members of boards of nationalised industries and other public servants of comparable status; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

I have considered my hon. Friend's suggestion, but I do not contemplate at present the establishment of such a committee.
