asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many of the 47,017 experiments referred to in paragraph 23 of the Return of Experiments on Living Animals, performed under anaesthesia in 1958 in the course of cancer investigations, were conducted on cats; and how many of them were conducted on dogs.
