asked the Minister of Labour what progress has been made in re-drafting the Dock Regulations, 1934.

As the hon. Member is aware only Regulation 2 of the Docks Regulations, 1934, is under consideration. All the organisations interested in this have been consulted, and it is clear that any amendment raises serious practical difficulties. In the light of the information and comments from those concerned, however, it has been decided that the Factory Inspectorate should make a detailed survey of the provision made for rescue from drowning and that
