asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many persons are imprisoned in Nyasaland without trial and without any charge being made; how long they have been imprisoned; and when it is intended to release them.

460; the periods during which they have been detained vary from eight months to a few days. As regards their release I have nothing to add to what my right hon. Friend told the House on 2nd November.
