HC Deb 12 November 1959 vol 613 cc73-4W
Mr. Brockway

asked the President of the Board of Trade what licences for the export of arms from the United Kingdom to Caribbean territories have been issued during the last three years.

Mr. Maudling

Since 1st January, 1957, the following licences have been issued for exports of arms to commercial and personal consignees in foreign Caribbean territories—six for Cuba, 12 for Costa Rica, one for Guatamala and one for Haiti, all relating to small arms and ammunition. It is not the practice to disclose details of export licences for arms supplied to overseas Governments.
