asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to what extent the French programme for the manufacture of atomic weapons has been approved by the Council of Western European Union in accordance with the amended Brussels Treaty.

French atomic weapons are not yet in effective production. There is, therefore, no question of reference to the Western European Union.
