HC Deb 10 November 1959 vol 613 c29W
Mr. Brockway

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action he proposes following the decision of the Appeals Court that British-protected persons come within the provisions of habeas corpus.

Mr. J. Amery

The implications of the recent judgment of the Court of Appeal are receiving study. I am not at present in a position to make any statement, but meanwhile it should not be assumed that I accept the hon. Member's interpretation of the effect of the judgment.
