Mr. Chetwyndasked the Minister of Works what consideration he has given to the protest made by the Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council about the proposed building to be erected at the rear of the post office now under construction there; and whether he will ensure a higher standard of planning for this building than that which has so far been adopted.
§ Lord John HopeI have considered the views of the Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council which have recently been communicated to me, and I am prepared to agree to an altered plan.
