§ 2. Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress has been made with the con struction of the cut-off channel of the Great Ouse flood protection scheme.
§ Mr. GodberThe flood protection scheme of the Great Ouse River Board is in three parts. Part I has been recently completed. Part II should be finished by the end of 1961 and my right hon. Friend hopes that Part III, the construction of the cut-off channel, will start early in 1960. Technical discussions between engineers are now almost completed and he hopes that the river board can shortly be authorised to invite tenders.
