§ Miss PittI assume that the hon. Lady is referring to children who are found to be incapable of receiving education at school because of their mental disability but are suitable for training by the local health authority. At the end of 1958, 10,469 such children under the age of 16 were receiving such training76W and 2,583 were waiting for training. Visits and advice from mental welfare officers are also provided for the parents, but no financial aid.
