HC Deb 04 November 1959 vol 612 c47W
65. Mr. Collard

asked the Minister of Transport whether in view of the re marks made by Mr. Justice Streatfeild when sentencing Michael Gareth Walsh at Norfolk Assizes on Wednesday, 28th October, 1959, he will reconsider his decision not to permit a "Halt" sign at the Woodrow cross-roads, near Cawston, Norfolk.

Mr. Hay

A "Halt" sign would not solve the problem. For a long time now we have been urging the Norfolk County Council, which is the authority responsible for this cross-roads, to stagger the juction, and the Chief Constable of Norfolk is in agreement with this course.
