§ 63. Mr. Warbeyasked the Minister of Power the estimated total production and consumption of coal for the year 1959 on the basis of current output and sales; and how these amounts compare with the estimates made by his Department a year ago, and with the actual out-turn for the year 1958.
§ Mr. WoodTotal production may be 207 million tons, against the estimate of 203 million tons given in the House on 3rd December, 1958, and the actual production of 216 million tons in 1958. Consumption, including exports, may be 195 million tons against an estimate of 200 million tons, and actual consumption of 208 million tons in 1958.
