HC Deb 02 November 1959 vol 612 cc19-20W
79. Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when he will be appointing the leader of the British delegation to the Conference on the Law of the Sea; and what consultations are now being made with other maritime nations.

Mr. R. Allan

We are aware of the need to appoint the leader for this Conference in good time, but my right hon. and learned Friend is not in a position to make a statement about this at present.

We have had, and are continuing to have, very extensive consultations with other maritime countries. These are confidential.
