HC Deb 02 November 1959 vol 612 c19W
77. Mr. Owen

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the difficulties in the medical staffing of Ashington Hospital, Northumberland; and what steps are being taken to secure an immediate improvement.

Mr. Walker-Smith

I am aware that there is a vacancy for a junior hospital medical officer which the Regional Hospital Board hopes to fill very shortly. The Board has also advertised for a senior casualty officer to fill a post at present occupied by a locum.
