Macmillanasked the Minister of Supply (1) how many tenders for diesel fuel injection servicing machines have been issued by his Department since 1st January, 1953; and whether he will list the firms from whom quotations have been received, with the date of the last quotation received from each firm;
(2) how many contracts for diesel fuel injection servicing machines have been placed by his Department since 1st January, 1953; and whether he will list the firms with whom contracts have been made, with the date of the last contract made with each firm.
§ Mr. W. J. TaylorTenders have been invited on six occasions and six contracts have been placed, the last in May, 1956. It would be contrary to normal practice to publish the names of firms invited to tender or receiving contracts. I am writing to my hon. Friend.
