§ Mr. Thorntonasked the Minister of Health, in view of the utilisation of health and hospital services by foreign visitors 181W to the United Kingdom, what steps he is at present taking to get reciprocal benefits for the growing number of United Kingdom subjects who are taking their holidays abroad.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithThe Government try to conclude reciprocal agreements wherever practicable, but the possibilities are limited by what other countries can offer. Full reciprocity exists with Norway, Sweden and Yugoslavia, and holiday-makers from the United Kingdom are eligible for the same medical services as are the nationals of those countries. It is hoped that a similar agreement will shortly be signed with Denmark.
