HC Deb 14 May 1959 vol 605 c162W
55. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many doctors are practising in Nyasaland, and how many of these are working in hospitals; how many trained and probationer nurses are available; to what extent the number of local clinics has increased in recent years; and what is the infant mortality rate now compared with 10 years ago.

Mr. J. Amery

Health is a Federal responsibility, and it would not therefore be proper for me to provide the information requested.
