asked the Minister of Labour how many persons were wholly or partly unemployed in the Greenock-Port Glasgow area at the latest available date; and what percentage of the insured population the total figure represents.

There were 3,838 wholly unemployed and 23 temporarily stopped at 13th April. The total of 3,861 represented 8.7 per cent. of the estimated total number of employees in the area.
