HC Deb 11 May 1959 vol 605 cc106-7W
Mr. J. Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the question of rates of gratuity for civilian clerks employed by the Military Department in Mauritius has yet been finally settled: and on what terms.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

These people are employed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War. I understand that the matter has not yet been settled but that it is being dealt with urgently.
