Mrs. Hector Hughesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress he has made in his consultations with local authorities on the nature and degree of assistance to be given to public service pensioners, including retired teachers, civil servants, local government officers, National Health Service officers, policemen, Service pensioners of Her Majesty's Forces, and their widows; and when he expects to introduce legislation to give effect to the proposals made to him.
