Mr. lain MacleodThe recent increase in unemployment in the shipbuilding and ship-repairing industries in Aberdeen was due to a trade dispute. My local officers continue to assist unemployed workers from all industries by submitting them to notified vacancies.

Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that strikes in several inter-related trades are causing unemployment in Aberdeen; and if he will, in consultation with the President of the Board of Trade, investigate 6W persons who have been continuously unemployed for more than three months.
