§ Mr. Sydney Irvingasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what proposals he has for alterations, diversions and improvements to trunk road A.2; and when he anticipates these will be undertaken.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI propose to provide dual carriageways on A.2 from the L.C.C. boundary to the start of the Medway Motor Road, which will be a motor road. Dual carriageways will also be provided from the Eastern end of the motor road as far as Canterbury. Statutory Orders will have to be made for any diversions proposed from the present line of A.2, and I cannot yet say when the construction of these works will start.
